Quetzalcoatl
Part 1: Down the Rabbit Hole
These are the first five pages of the comic I created for my senior thesis project at the University of Cincinnati. The project lasted a year, consisting of conceiving the ideas, writing the script, creating panel and page layouts, and finally executing each page by hand on 500 series Bristol using a crow quill nib and various brushes.
The comic tells the story of a traveler who wanders through his memories in an attempt to understand the person he is and the views he holds. Through the journey, he is joined by the feathered serpent Quetzalcoatl (Quetz) who shares with the traveler a path from reality into the imagination.
